Application Results for the 2022 Calls in the ” Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies” for The Turkish Partners

7 different projects involving 1 coordinator and 12 partners were supported by the European Commission in the Horizon Europe Programme, Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies, 2022 calls. A total of 1.854.456 Euro grants were received.

CULTURATI

CULTURATI (CUSTOMIZED GAMES AND ROUTES FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE AND ARTS) project, the coordinator of which is Bilkent University, was awarded the funding within the scope of the call “HORIZON-CL2-2022-HERITAGE-01-02 – Europe’s cultural heritage and arts – promoting our values at home and abroad”. There are 14 organizations in the project consortium, and the project aims to design, develop and validate the system using Internet of Things (IoT), cloud and mobile technologies, sensors and Artificial Intelligence. Within the scope of the Project, Ankara Governorship, Rahmi Koç Museum and Serdar Vural Öktem from Turkey took part as partners.

OppAttune

The consortium of the project with the acronym OppAttune (Countering Oppositional Political Extremism through Attuned Dialogue: Track, Attune, Limit) presented within the scope of the call “HORIZON-CL2-2022-DEMOCRACY-01-05: Evolution of political extremism and its influence on contemporary social and political dialogue” has 17 organizations. The project aims to monitor the evolution of oppositional extremist ideologies and protectionist decision-making, develop an innovative model of adaptation, and test a range of interventions at national and transnational levels that limit the spread of extremism. Within the scope of the project, Özyeğin University and Istanbul Bilgi University (https://www.bilgi.edu.tr/en/) from Turkey took part as partners.

PREMIUM_EU

Presented as part of the call “HORIZON-CL2-2022-TRANSFORMATIONS-01-02: The impact of spatial mobility on European demographics, society, welfare system and labor market”, PREMIUM_EU (Policy REcommendations to Maximise the beneficial Impact of Unexplored Mobilities in and beyond the European Union) project consortium includes 10 organizations. The project aims to develop a Regional Policy Dashboard (RPD) to help policymakers in vulnerable regions use the potential of mobility to enhance regional inclusive growth and prosperity. Within the scope of the project, Hacettepe University from Turkey took part as a partner.

RAISE

There are 9 organizations in the RAISE (RECOGNITION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF INJUSTICE TO STRENGTHEN EQUALITY) project consortium presented within the scope of the “HORIZON-CL2-2022-TRANSFORMATIONS-01-08: Strengthening racial, ethnic and religious equality” call. The aim of the project is to examine the awareness of border-making processes in the re-emergence of structural racism and what collective actions contribute to breaking such border-making processes to reduce structural racism. Within the scope of the project, Izmir University of Economics from Turkey and the Monitoring Association for Equal Rights participated as partners.

FAiR

There are 12 organizations in the FAiR (Finding Agreement in Return) acronym project consortium presented within the scope of the call “HORIZON-CL2-2022-TRANSFORMATIONS-01-09: Return and readmission of irregular migrants in the EU”. The project aims to support the EU’s return migration management by addressing the legitimacy gaps. In the consortium, Koç University from Turkey took part as a partner.

GAPs

There are 17 organizations in the acronym project consortium GAPs (De-centring the Study of Migrant Returns and Readmission Policies in Europe and Beyond), which has been successful in this topic. It is aimed to examine the gaps between expectations and their actual results. REBOOT

There are 12 organizations in the REBOOT (Reviving, Boosting, Optimising and Transforming European Film Competitiveness) acronym project consortium presented within the scope of the call “HORIZON-CL2-2022-HERITAGE-01-06: Increase the potential of the international competitiveness of the European filmmaking industry”. The aim is to provide a complete set of information on the European film industry, to combine current strengths in policy, practice and experience, to identify weaknesses and to overcome them, and to plan future competitiveness. Within the scope of the project, Kadir Has University from Turkey took part as a partner.
