About the position
Research
We are seeking a researcher at the Assistant Professor level to join the Hanayama Lab.
Our research centers on understanding the biology of extracellular vesicles (EVs) and
translating this knowledge into medical applications, along the following lines:
・ Engineered EVs for immune regulation and their therapeutic application
・ EV-mediated intercellular communication and its role in disease
・ Structural and mechanical characterization of EVs using nanoscale
measurement technologies
The laboratory works in close partnership with the Nano Life Science Institute (WPINanoLSI)
at Kanazawa University, giving access to high-speed atomic force microscopy,
scanning probe microscopy, and related advanced instrumentation.
Prior experience with EVs is not required. We welcome applicants from immunology,
cell biology, and related areas of the life sciences who are motivated to bring their own
expertise to EV research.

Work content and job description
・Research in the fields of Immunology or related fields.
・Education responsibilities include lectures, practical training, and research supervision in the following schools
- Bachelor courses of School of Medicine, School of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Master and Doctoral courses of Graduate School of Medical Sciences
Work experience
The applicant should hold a doctorate degree in a field of science related to this posting.
The applicant should have strong enthusiasm for education and research.
The applicant should have outstanding research achievements in a field of science related to immunology.
The applicant should have excellent communication skills in English.
