Background of the recruitment and description of the project This is the application guidelines of One Professor in Asian Research Center for Bioresource and Environmental Sciences, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo. Work content and job description 1) The Asian Research Center for Bioresource and Environmental Sciences promotes interdisciplinary and international research on biological resources and the environment, with a particular focus on Asia. Through its overseas research stations, the Center advances international collaborative research and contributes to the sustainable use of biological resources, environmental conservation, and the education of the next generation of researchers. Based on this mission, the Center invites applications for a Professor who will promote education and research on biological resources and the environment in aquatic ecosystems and lead the further development of the Center. 2) Promote international collaborative and interdisciplinary research by utilizing the Center's overseas research stations and collaborating with domestic and international research institutions, and conduct research contributing to the sustainable use of biological resources, environmental conservation, and global sustainability. 3) Teach lectures, seminars, and practical courses, and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture, while promoting education for international students and international educational activities, including overseas training programs. 4) Participate actively in the management and academic activities of the Center and contribute to strengthening its role as an international hub for biological resources and environmental research. Scope of change: The faculty member may be reassigned, concurrently assigned, or transferred to another position. (In principle, such an order will not be issued against his/her will. For details, please refer to Article 4 of the Regulations Concerning the Employment of University of Tokyo Faculty Members.) Description 2) Have an outstanding research record in biological resources and environmental sciences, or in a closely related field, and be capable of conducting original research at an internationally recognized level. 3) Have a proven record of international collaborative research and demonstrate the ability to lead international collaborative research. 4) Have experience in graduate and undergraduate education and research supervision, and demonstrate a strong commitment to educating international students and fostering globally competent human resources. 5) Be willing to contribute to interdisciplinary research on biological resources and the environment, as well as to the management and development of the Center.
