area whose doctoral training is in a field other than computer
science
- Security and privacy
- Quantum computing
Candidates whose work falls outside these three areas are
encouraged to apply and will receive full consideration.
The successful candidate will advance the educational mission of
the College of Computing and AI, that values, prioritizes, and
actualizes evidence-based and student-centered teaching and
undergraduate student mentoring. They will contribute to an
environment that fosters engagement and a sense of belonging for
faculty, staff, students and members of the broader
community.

computer science. The department has a strong track record of
building large-scale computing infrastructure, including HTCondor
and CloudLab, and of interdisciplinary collaborations, programs,
and centers, including the Wisconsin Institutes of Discovery. The
department has also been the beneficiary of significant donations
supporting its research and educational mission.
