About the position
The Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to fostering academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and students. We are currently recruiting academic physicians to join our ambulatory clinical practice. Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching and training, delivering clinical care in an outpatient setting, and/or contributing to research. Candidates with an interest in outpatient Internal Medicine, improving primary care, and working as part of a team are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are comfortable with new and emerging technologies and interested in chronic disease management, research and scholarly activities, including teaching, are also encouraged to apply. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience. Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine. Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
