About the position
The Department of Medicine , Division of Cardiovascular Medicine , and the Cardiovascular Institute at the University of California San Diego are committed to academic excellence among our faculty, staff, and students and invite applications for a faculty positions in Cardiac Electrophysiology. We seek outstanding electrophysiologists to join our growing Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology and contribute to our missions of clinical excellence, research innovation, and medical education. The selected candidates will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nationally recognized specialists to advance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The selected candidates will provide clinical care to patients and teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the HS Clinical series based on the candidate's background and experience. A link to the full description of the series is provided for your review: HS Clinical Professor (APM 278) As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and be board certified or board eligible in electrophysiology. Candidates must also either have or be eligible for a California medical license or an equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
