Background of the recruitment and description of the project The faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University invites applications for the academic position of Associate Professor according to the following description. Work content and job description 〔Research Area〕 Broad areas of Mechanical Engineering 〔Responsibilities〕 (Immediately after employment) Engage in education and research activities related to the Faculty of Engineering, the Graduate School of Engineering, and the School of Engineering (including general education courses), and participate in administrative and management duties, including service on departmental, faculty, graduate school, and university committees. (Scope of changes) Duties as determined by the University 〔Scope of Work〕 5.1 Teaching Teach graduate courses in Japanese/English related to Mechanical Engineering. Teach undergraduate courses such as lectures, exercises, laboratory classes, and related subjects in the Department of Mechanical and Intelligent System Engineering in Japanese/English. 5.2 Supervising Duties Supervise undergraduate and graduate students as required in education and research activities. 5.3 Other Duties Administrative and management duties, including service on departmental, faculty, graduate school, and university committees. Work experience (2)Ability to supervise the courses outlined above. (3)Demonstrate a strong commitment to addressing societal challenges, possess the motivation and ability to pioneer research that contributes to society, and be enthusiastic about education. (4)Applicants whose native language is not Japanese must possess sufficient Japanese language proficiency to perform educational, research, and administrative duties.
