About the position

Position Description The Department of Psychology at Stanford University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, with a research focus on developmental and/or social psychology. In addition to other qualities, the Stanford Psychology Department values transparency and openness in science. We encourage candidates to provide in their research statement a description of how these values are reflected in their work to date and their future research plans. Applicants should describe in their statement their philosophy and preparation to teach courses and mentor students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or in a related field and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Candidates should apply through Stanford Faculty Positions (application link here) and submit: - a cover letter - curriculum vitae (including a bibliography/publication list) - a statement of research and teaching interests (no more than three single-spaced pages). Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.
