Position Description Position Description: The Medium Energy Physics Group in the Department of Physics at Duke University invites applications for an Associate in Research position. The successful candidates will work with Prof. Haiyan Gao. This position will involve analyzing data from the JLab Hall D SRC/CT experiment and carrying out related studies on and J/ meson production to explore the extraction of the mass radius of the deuteron, and the transition from nucleon-meson degrees of freedom to quark-gluon degrees of QCD. The successful applicant will also work on drafting publications on the outcome of these studies and documenting the required analysis and simulation codes. Required Qualifications: ● Bachelor’s degree in physics or a related field by the start date. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
