Job Summary
Continuing Education and Community Engagement's English Language
Institute is hiring in-person adjunct ESL instructors to teach ESL
classes on a rolling basis.
No online classes
Responsibilities
- Teach ESL classes according to the class objectives and
materials
- Read ELI Mission and curriculum, prepare class syllabus
according to the provided syllabi templates, read and follow
guidelines outlined in the ELI Faculty Handbook
- Attend one faculty meeting and 1 sponsored activities (4 hrs.
total) per session
- Keep attendance, report attendance daily, record grades weekly,
be able to arrange for substitutes in the event of an absence,
maintain communication with ELI and check email daily
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's in TESOL or in a related field with a TESOL
Certificate
- Teaching experience, preferably in a variety of skills and
levels
Preferences
- Self- motivated
- Responsible
- Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety
of cultures and countries
