The Graduate School of Landscape Design and Management aims to produce highly competent specialists who possess practical knowledge about local landscaping as well as theoretical knowledge about and technical skills in general landscaping, and who are ready to create community environments in harmony with nature in cooperation with community residents. The Graduate School shares the same campus as Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Landscape Planning & Horticulture Academy (ALPHA), of which a former specialized course was reestablished as the Graduate School. Work content and job description [Graduate] Landscape Technology, Practice of Landscape Technology, Basic study about landscape design , Interactive and Incremental Internship, Practical study about planning of urban landscape management A/B, Advanced practical study in landscape design for practical Use [Under graduate] Landscape Planning and Horticulture [Awaji Landscape Planning and Horticulture Academy] Education and management of continuing education course (‘Community gardener main course’, ‘Community gardener master course’, etc.), Horticultural therapy course, Management and operation of Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Landscape Planning and Horticulture Academy. Common to all Job Types Annual Salary : 5 million yen ~ Description Applicants must meet the following requirements: 1) Degree: doctorate 2) Track record of accomplishment related to the field of landscape technology and the subjects they will cover, or recognized equivalent practical achievements. 3) Educational and research abilities in digital technology for landscape design and green infrastructure. Also has broad collaboration skills including working with government and private sector partners, a track record of international research presentations, ability to apply research results for the benefit of society. 4) Willingness and ability in proactive engagements in the planning and management of key projects in our organization, especially with the Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Landscape Planning and Horticulture Academy. 5) Agree to the ‘fixed term appointment’ (Refer to the next chapter) 6) High level of Japanese language proficiency. Ability to teach lectures and lead exercises in Japanese, and have communication skills in Japanese that will enable them to smoothly carry out their duties within the university and support volunteer group activities, while respecting organizational management rules and human relations. *Applicants must reside in a location that allows for commuting to the university.
