Description of the workplace The research group for associative learning conducts research in neurophysiology and neuroscience, with a particular focus on cerebellar function and motor learning. The group is led by Associate Professor Anders Rasmussen and is located at the Biomedical Center in Lund. The research group includes both scientific and technical staff with expertise in experimental neuroscience, behavioral studies, and data analysis. The position is linked to a research project investigating how humans acquire new motor and cognitive skills and how these processes relate to cerebellar function. The project involves studies of patient groups and healthy control participants in which neuropsychological and motor assessments are combined with quantitative data analysis. Work duties and areas of responsibility As an associate researcher in the research group, you will work in an ongoing project studying learning and cognition in humans, focusing on completing data collection, analysis and publication. Your duties will include: Administering neuropsychological test batteries in Swedish to patients and control participants Conducting neuropsychological assessments as well as performing and evaluating motor behavioral assessments Collecting, processing, and analyzing behavioral data Performing statistical analyses of complex datasets Writing scientific manuscripts and handling correspondence with journals during peer review and revision Presenting research findings at national and international conferences The position may also involve collaboration with clinical and international research environments. Qualifications Requirements for the position include: A completed PhD in psychology, medicine, neuroscience, or a related field Documented experience in administering and interpreting neuropsychological tests Documented experience with motor behavioral assessments or experimental studies of motor function in humans Documented experience in statistical analysis of behavioral data, including the use of advanced statistical methods Experience with statistical analysis tools such as SPSS or equivalent Documented experience in scientific writing, for example in the form of manuscripts or published articles Excellent proficiency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written Meritorious for the position: Licensed psychologist Experience in research on motor learning, cerebellar function, or related fields Experience in combining neuropsychological and motor test data in research studies Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and drive projects forward Good collaborative skills Experience with longitudinal studies or studies involving clinical populations Further information The position is a fixed-term employment (särskild visstidsanställning) of 6 months at 60% of full time, starting on 3 November 2026 or as agreed.
