Background of the recruitment and description of the project 【Research areas】 Driven by the rapid advancement of AI technologies, semiconductor integrated circuits that support advanced information processing are required to achieve not only further improvements in processing performance but also extremely high power efficiency. Against this background, as new device technologies continue to advance in the semiconductor field, the importance of circuits and architectures that can fully exploit their potential is increasing, and new breakthroughs are strongly desired. This laboratory is seeking individuals who can conduct research and education on integrated circuit systems and their applications, with a view toward social implementation through industry–academia collaboration. Specifically, the successful candidate is expected to work toward establishing foundational technologies for low-power, highly efficient information-processing hardware through approaches such as integrated circuit design based on new architectures, while taking into account a wide range of device technologies including nonvolatile memories. Description The applicant must hold a doctoral degree and have excellent research achievements and research skills in the field of his/her specialty. The applicant must have the ability to communicate properly with faculty staff and students and to provide guidance to students.
