Position:
The College of Health Professions invites applications for one 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty in the Department of Health Sciences in the public health major. Preferred begin date, August 2027. Faculty may teach at the undergraduate or graduate level based on expertise and the needs of the department. Salary is competitive and includes the State of Maryland benefits package. Rank will be determined based on qualifications at the time of appointment.
Qualifications:
Research doctoral degree in a health sciences or related discipline. Education and expertise to teach courses across the department; subject areas may include public health, epidemiology, health education and promotion, public health policy and/or related health sciences content. Evidence of a scholarship agenda focused in an area of specialty in public health or closely related area. ABD applicants will be considered, but appointment will be at the instructor rank, and all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2027.
Salary and Benefits:
Targeted salary range: $80,000-$85,000-commensurate with experience.
