Hiring Unit: Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) Course code and title: EDEA 204-002. Drawing. Description: Development of sound drafting skills through the study of organic forms and the human figure in various media. This course is not Team taught or offered online. Term: Winter 2027 Credits: 3 credits Location: Education Building (EDUC 632) Schedule: Thursday, 11:35 am-02:25 pm Appointment Dates: December 21, 2026 - April 30, 2027 Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs): Education: 1. Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (e.g. Visual Art Education) and/or extensive relevant experience as a school artist-teacher with a background in the visual arts. 2. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset. Experience: 1.Demonstrated knowledge of: - Drawing canons - Drawing skills - Influential painting schools - Various drawing techniques and mediums 2. Previous experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level and/or equivalent relevant teaching or professional experience. 3. Experience as a visual arts teacher in the Quebec educational system. 4.Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation. Other: 1. Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion. 2. Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences. 3. Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset. 4. Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
