Department of Political Science Faculty of Arts McGill University Winter 2027 Course Lecturer Position Deadline to Apply: October 15, 2026 The Department of Political Science is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2027. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional. POLI 357-001 Politics: Contemporary Europe (3 Credits - CAP 80) An examination of political institutions and processes in today's Europe, concentrating on the member-states of the European Union and on the Union itself. The course is organized thematically rather than on a country-by-country basis. Teaching Qualification Requirements: - A completed PhD degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in Political Science or a discipline related to the course; - Provide evidence of effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught a similar course; - The candidate's area of specialization must be as close as possible to that of the course being offered; - Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset. Monday and Wednesday 02:35 pm-03:55 pm, January 5, 2027 – April 14, 2027. Location: ENGMD 279. Salary: $11,824 per course.
