English Language/EAP Teachers

Location: Hainan Lingshui

Expected Start Date: September 2027

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching 20 hours per week (each teaching hour = 45mins)
• Teaching preparation and regular lesson planning meetings
• Assessment duties (standardization, marking, feedback, moderation activities)
• Participation in teaching seminars and professional development training
• Coordination and administrative work (course coordination, materials proofreading, student enrolment support, supplementary classes for students with additional support)
• Other duties assigned by the line manager

Requirements

Essential

• Undergraduate degree or above (English language/Applied Linguistics/Education or related fields preferred)
• A TESOL qualification (TeflI status:): Cambridge CELTA, Trinity Cert TESOL (or equivalent, which includes assessed teaching practice)
• Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ relevant teaching experience, preferably in an EAP context
• Organizational, communication and inter-personal skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to lead and work well in teams
• Ability to use ICT effectively, including use of a virtual learning environment (e.g. Moodle)

Desirable

• TeflQ status: Cambridge DELTA, Trinity Dip TESOL (or equivalent) and/or relevant Masters (e.g. ELT/ TESOL/Applied Linguistics/ TEAP Qualification).
• Experience of teaching EAP for engineering/STEM undergraduates

Job Salary & Benefits

• Successful candidates will be offered a total annual package of 300,000 RMB on average, and the exact package will be tailored to their professional and academic qualifications and work experience. This package includes a competitive base salary, Hainan Talent Retention Allowance and performance-based bonuses.
