【Description of Job】
(1) Research: Candidates must be able to conduct cutting-edge research that utilizes AI, ICT, agricultural robots, and other technologies to improve the efficiency of food production and enhance the international competitiveness of agricultural products. Additionally, candidates must be able to collaborate with companies and research institutions to advance their research.
(2) Education : The successful candidate is expected to supervise master’s and doctoral students in the Graduate School of Environmental, Life, and Natural Science and Technology; teaching courses such as “Instrumentation for Agricultural Environment”; and teaching courses in School of Agriculture, including “Introduction to Agricultural Robotics”, “Physics for Agricultural Environment” , “Fundamentals of Digital Agricultural Science (shared),” “Applied Biological Data Science (shared)”, and “Laboratory in Biological Production”, as well as supervising undergraduate thesis research.
(3) Administration: Organizational management at Okayama University
Description

・Have sufficient achievements in the field, including publications in international academic journals, have a Ph.D. degree.
・Have sufficient ability and enthusiasm for undergraduate and graduate education in Japanese and English, as well as management and administration.
・If you are a foreign national, you have to have Japanese proficiency that allows you to carry out the work including lectures, experimental practices and research guidance.
