Faculty Positions in Robot Learning (Tenure-Track and Tenured)

Position Description

The Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT), created in partnership with Switzerland’s ETH Zurich and EPFL, invites applications for multiple faculty positions in robot learning.

Founded in 2022, INSAIT’s mission is to establish itself as a world-class research institution in AI and computer science. In just four years, INSAIT has attracted outstanding faculty, including some of the most prominent emerging researchers in computer vision, cryptography and security, as well as postdocs and PhD students from over 20 nationalities. The institute regularly publishes at leading AI-related conferences such as CoRL, ICLR, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ECCV, ICRA, IROS, and is at the forefront of research in embodied AI, with high-profile projects such as SPEAR-1.

INSAIT is structured similarly to top U.S. and European research institutions and offers exceptional working conditions, including exclusive access to on-premise compute clusters with state-of-the-art accelerators, a growing pool of hardware platforms for robotics research, and outstanding salaries and faculty packages.

We welcome excellent applicants – both tenure-track and tenured – with research interests in, but not limited to, generalist robot behaviour and control, robotic manipulation, multimodal learning for robotics, reinforcement learning.

Eligibility Requirements

• PhD in robot learning or a closely related field
• Demonstrated ability to pursue an independent research program
• Strong scientific publication record in leading venues such as CoRL, ICLR, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ECCV, RSS, ICRA, IROS
• Track record of delivering high-impact research projects in the field of robotics
