## About the research project This research project, conducted at the University of Stavanger, investigates targeted lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) carrying therapeutic RNA as a potential treatment strategy for HER2-positive breast cancer. The study employs an in vivo zebrafish embryo model to evaluate the efficacy and biodistribution of these RNA-based nanocarriers. The research includes identifying and selecting therapeutic microRNAs, encapsulating them within ligand-functionalized lipid nanoparticles to target HER2+ cells, and validating their anti-cancer activity in zebrafish xenotransplants of both established breast cancer cell lines and patient-derived cell models. The successful candidate will work with zebrafish models of breast cancer and will evaluate the effects of nanoparticles targeting HER2-positive cells, both when these cells form solid tumors and when they are circulating tumor cells. ## We offer - er varied duties in a large, exciting and societally important organisation - an ambitious work community which is developing rapidly.
