## Job description The University of Stavanger has a vacancy for a position as Associate Professor in Journalism and Digital Platforms at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Media and Social Sciences. The field for this position is journalism and digital platforms. We are seeking candidates with perspectives on journalism rooted in journalism studies, media studies, social sciences, as well as the humanities. The successful candidate will primarily teach and supervise students at the bachelor’s level, but will also have some teaching and supervision responsibilities at the master’s and PhD levels within the subject area. Furthermore, the position includes research and dissemination of research results within relevant fields at the department, as well as examination work. The successful candidate is expected to play a key role in the development of forward-looking journalism and media studies, and research at UiS, and will have the opportunity to contribute to developing collaboration with society, the cultural sector, and industry. Development of varied and digital teaching methods, as well as innovation and value creation based on research results and academic development work, are also part of the position. The workplace is in Stavanger. It is expected that the successful candidate contributes to the academic environment and is available for collaboration at the workplace during normal working hours.
