Position Description Full-Time Faculty Position in Biological and Medical Physics, Department of Physics, Koç University, Istanbul,Türkiye Koç University, a foundation-supported, non-profit leading research university in Istanbul, Türkiye, invites applications for a tenure-track full-time faculty position in the field of Biological and Medical Physics, that will complement and/or expand the current research activities of the Physics Department. We seek an outstanding experimental physicist specializing in state-of-the-art biological and medical physics, e.g., biological and medical imaging modalities. The candidate is expected to build an internationally recognized, externally funded research program, while contributing to the newly established university innovation center on life sciences. The candidate is also expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate physics education and foster interdisciplinary collaborations across physics, engineering, biology, or medicine. Current research areas in the department include mathematical physics, biological physics, cold atoms, condensed and soft matter physics, gravitation, spectroscopy, micro/nano photonic materials and devices, quantum technologies, quantum optics, solid-state lasers, ultrafast optics, and biomedical optics. Post-doctoral research experience is required. Priority will be given to applicants at the assistant professor level. Candidates are expected to develop a competitive research program and teach undergraduate and graduate-level physics courses. The medium of instruction is English. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Side benefits include housing aid, health insurance, and financial support for K12 education of candidates’ children.
