Background of the recruitment and description of the project NUCB International College is a new international boarding high school opened in Sep. 2022, accredited as an IBDP school by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Dec.2022, run by Kurimoto Educational Institute (KEI) NUCB International College is a world-class, co-educational boarding high school that nurtures the next generation of leaders. The school accepts a wide range of students from Japan and abroad and implements leadership education from an early age in a highly diverse environment. NIC is the only boarding school in central Japan accredited by the Ministry and Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology (MEXT) to offer two qualifications: the Japanese high school diploma and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). All subjects apart from language classes are taught in English, and all our students have the opportunity to be awarded the Bilingual IBDP Diploma. Work content and job description We are seeking an IBDP Language A for English. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary knowledge and skills to teach English literature and be capable of teaching IBDP Language A courses. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to adopt a case method approach, and who hold an official high school teaching license (in Japan or abroad) and/or an IBDP Category 1 certificate. Work experience Candidates should be comfortable communicating in English and able to conduct classes without difficulty. Official qualification in specific field, etc. Preference will be given to those with a Japanese high school teaching license, IBDP Certificate holders, teaching experience at IB schools, and basic Japanese skills. Various systems Pay increase system : Raise applicable at the time of contract renewal, based on performance during the previous contract period. Insurance Employees' Health Insurance : Applicable with Membership of Promotion and Mutual Aid Cooperation for Private Schools of Japan. Considerations for conducting interviews (e.g., those who live far away, such as overseas) Online interviews/mock classes are available for those living abroad. Selection Application procedures 1. Initial screening of application documents 2. Interview and a mock lesson in your field (Applicants will conduct a mock lesson in English using the teaching method specified by us.) Applicants who advance to the second round of selection are required to submit a letter of recommendation from their academic advisor or an equivalent referee. The letter should be sent directly to the university by the recommender as an email attachment. Notification of result Those who have passed the document screening process will be notified by email. The results of the interview and mock lesson will be notified by email within one week of the interview date.
