Job description The Policy, Politics, and Society Team at Erasmus University offers a temporary part-time position in International Relations. You will co-teach a course in the Bachelor’s programme, a full course in the Master’s programme, and supervise Master’s theses. The position includes 0.1 fte research time, during which you will be part of the European and Global Governance research group. Job description Co-teaching the third-year bachelor’s course Global and European Governance , focusing on theories of international relations and their application to global organizations such as the WTO and UN, and co-developing a simulation of international policy negotiations for this course. Teaching the master’s course International Society and Democratic Institutions , which focuses on the democratic quality of international organizations and their contestation. Supervising master’s theses in the broad field of international relations, with an emphasis on international security and conflict. Requirements A PhD in International Relations or a closely related discipline (or nearing completion) Experience in thesis supervision Very good English language skills All teaching and thesis supervision takes place on Campus Conditions of employment We offer you an internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with excellent working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU). The start date of this position is preferably 01-NOV-2026 and you will be based at Erasmus University Rotterdam campus Woudestein in Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (ESSB). This position is for 0,5 fte. The salary is dependent on your experience and knowledge and ranges from a minimum of € 4.925,- to a maximum of € 6.682,- gross per month, Scale 11, on a fulltime basis (38 hours), in accordance with the CAO-NU.
