About the position
The Department of Mathematics, within the School of Physical Sciences at UC San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department is looking for candidates in all areas and specialties of mathematics. The Lecturer will teach depending on the needs of the department. Duties include instruction in courses on topics related to mathematics. The lecturer will likely be teaching a few courses per week and will hold office hours for students. Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Master's Degree in Mathematics or a related field and 1 or more years of teaching experience. Preferred qualifications PhD in Mathematics or a related field Experience teaching large classroom sizes (100-300 students) Outstanding Teaching Evaluations Prior University level teaching experience Research experience and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are highly desirable.
