Position Summary
The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at
Indiana University invites applicants to fill a full-time
non-tenure track Lecturer position beginning August 1, 2027.
Responsibilities include teaching four courses a year: a 300-level
Genetics lecture in both semesters, and 1-2 additional courses in
an area appropriate to the candidate’s expertise but which could
include a 100-level introductory majors course focusing on
molecular biology.
Basic Qualifications
A Ph.D. in a biological discipline is desirable, and MS is
required. Postdoctoral training or teaching experience may be
considered but is not required.

Additional Qualifications
Candidates should have strong communication and organizational
skills, and documented evidence of classroom and/or laboratory
teaching ability.
Salary and Rank
Salary is commensurate with experience and full benefits are
