About the position
Our laboratory conducts research and development on synthetic chemical reactions using flow reactors. Taking advantage of the unique characteristics of flow systems, we aim to establish the academic framework of “flash chemistry,” which enables the selective and rapid synthesis of desired organic molecules. We also seek to establish a fundamentally new academic foundation for synthetic chemistry that overturns conventional flask-based chemistry by developing theories for reaction discovery integrated with data science, including machine learning, and by creating the underlying concepts. Beyond data science, we actively pursue interdisciplinary integration with chemical biology and materials science, working toward high-speed synthetic chemistry for the rapid creation of functional molecules with capabilities surpassing those of biomolecules.
