About the position
The Faculty of Languages and Cultures, Kyushu University, consists of academics conducting research on various countries and areas in the world. The accomplishments of the institute are applied to education of students at graduate and undergraduate level.
Work content and job description
(1) Research at the Faculty of Languages and Cultures.
(2) Teach five courses (primarily undergraduate EFL courses or other related subjects) per semester. (There may be imbalance between two semesters.)
(3) Organizational and coordinating duties related to (2).
(4) Administrative duties including engagement in university committees and entrance
exams.
(5) Potential responsibility for relevant graduate/undergraduate school (teaching,
supervision, meetings etc.)
Work experience
A minimum of 15 years’ experience teaching English at the university level.
Official qualification in specific field, etc.
(1) Sufficient Japanese ability to carry out administrative duties. Sufficient English ability
for teaching and research.
(2) Distinguished academic achievements including no less than 20 published peer-reviewed articles.
(3) Ability to teach Academic English writing and speaking courses.
(4) Proven track record in developing English language education curricula.
(5) Experience in the planning and operational management of English language proficiency testing.
(6) DX capabilities for English education and research.

Selection
