About the position

This position is open to fill a vacancy in the field of physics.

Work content and job description
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in teaching, provide academic and general support for students, conduct research, perform university administrative duties, and contribute to society.
Main courses to be taught include Fundamentals of Physics I, Fundamentals of Physics II, and Experiments in Physics. The successful candidate may also be asked to participate in teaching foundational education courses, including courses in basic natural sciences.

Description
Candidates must:
(1) hold a Ph.D. or equivalent.
(2) have outstanding educational and research achievements in physics and physics education.
(3) be willing to contribute enthusiastically to education and academic advising.
(4) be willing to take an active part in the management of the Organization for the Advancement of Higher Education and work collaboratively with colleagues.
(5) understand the founding philosophy of Okayama University of Science and be strongly committed to education and research in order to contribute to achieving the University's mission and objectives.
(6) in cases where Japanese is not the applicant's native language, possess sufficient Japanese language proficiency to conduct classes and perform basic administrative duties in Japanese.
(7) reside in, or be able to relocate to, the Okayama City area.
