About the position

The Rauzi Lab at Université Côte d’Azur in Nice, France, invites expressions of interest from researchers seeking to establish a long-term research career in morphogenesis and tissue mechanics through the 2027 CNRS and/or Inserm national recruitment competitions.

Candidates will have the opportunity to develop their own original research project aligned with the Rauzi lab's scientific objectives.

Our research investigates how dynamic mechanochemical information shapes epithelial tissues during development. We welcome candidates with expertise in developmental biology, cell biology, biophysics, quantitative imaging or computational modelling, and an interest in combining complementary approaches to understand morphogenesis.

We seek motivated researchers with a PhD in a relevant discipline, a strong publication record as PhD and postdoc and the capacity to develop an original research direction within a collaborative team.

Scientific development and application support

We will work closely with selected candidates to develop their proposed research project and prepare competitive applications for permanent researcher positions at CNRS and/or Inserm. Candidates are encouraged to bring their own ideas and expertise to extend the scientific directions of the lab’s IDEX-supported research.

Recruitment route

Permanent appointments are awarded through national competitive selection procedures, known as “concours”, organised by CNRS and Inserm. These competitions are open to candidates of all nationalities, subject to the relevant eligibility requirements. Researchers unfamiliar with the French recruitment system are warmly encouraged to contact us.

This call is for expressions of interest in preparing an application with the Rauzi Lab. A permanent appointment is conditional on success in the relevant national competition and approval of the host assignment. Selection for support by the lab does not guarantee appointment.
