About the position
Your tasks
We are seeking a highly motivated doctoral researcher to join our dynamic research group and contribute to this DFG-funded project. The successful candidate is expected to conduct original research within the project's work packages leading to a doctoral dissertation, and to present their findings at departmental seminars and international conferences. The position further involves communication activities, including policy briefs, a project website and contributions to public debates.
Your profile
- An excellent Master's level degree in Economics or related fields with a strong background in macroeconomics and/or numerical methods (students close to completing their Master's degree are also encouraged to apply)
- Strong quantitative and programming skills (MATLAB, Python, Dynare, or similar)
- Interest in fiscal federalism, monetary unions, and/or quantitative macroeconomic modelling
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a research team
- Excellent collaboration skills with flexibility and strong teamwork
- Very good written and spoken communication skills in both German and English
