Position Description
The Department of Statistical Science and Trinity College at Duke University in Durham, NC, are searching for a postdoctoral associate interested in sports analytics. The postdoctoral associate will be supervised by Professor Jerry Reiter. Responsibilities include working on sports analytics questions motivated by Duke Athletics and other teams, helping develop sports analytics projects for students, partially supervising undergraduate projects in sports analytics, and helping with establishing connections between Duke Athletics and Duke faculty related to sports analytics. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in statistical science or a related field, experience mentoring students, and interest in sports analytics. The position starts July 1, 2027, and is for a one-year term with potential for renewal for up to two additional years.
