About the position

Hours of work: Part time 0.4fte Tenure: Fixed term for up to 4 months We are recruiting a highly motivated experimental postdoctoral research associate. You will be making an important contribution to a BBSRC funded project entitled ‘Understanding the farm practices, coinfection and immunity of in-lay flocks and its relatedness to egg production and quality.’ We’re particularly keen to hear from researchers with: - Experience of data collection, management, and statistical/epidemiological analysis. - Proven interest in food-producing animals and factors impacting their performance. - Experience in analysis of data from immunological assays, e.g. ELISA. - Experience in organising complex data sets. - Experience of supporting other team members, including supervision of postgraduates. - Experience of working in line with ethics protocols. You should hold, or be close to completing a PhD with a substantive life sciences focus; a BSc in veterinary, animal or biological sciences, epidemiology or statistics; and demonstrate proven experience or training in the management and analysis of data. This is fixed term position 0.4 FTE from Autumn 2026 for up to 4 months. If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
