Position Description
The String Group and the Department of Physics at Virginia Tech is seeking a postdoctoral associate or research associate position (depending on experience) in High Energy Theoretical Physics and String Theory. The focus of the position is on string theory, including string compactifications, sigma models, F-theory, effective theories and string geometry and phenomenology.
A strong background in string theory with a history of peer-reviewed publications is necessary. A doctorate degree in a relevant field is required by start date of the position. To be considered for the research associate position, prior postdoctoral research experience is required.
The group offers an active and collaborative research environment and looks forward to welcoming junior researchers.
