About the position
Position Description The Condensed Matter Theory Group at Argonne National Laboratory is looking to hire up to two postdoctoral scholars. The group is led by Ivar Martin, alongside Mike Norman, Hyowon Park, and Kartiek Agarwal. The group is broadly interested in topics in topological and strongly correlated electronic systems, quantum dynamics and information theory including in connection to simulations on quantum simulators and computers, and applications of machine learning, including neural quantum states. Candidates will benefit from state of the art computing resources at the Argonne Leadership Computing facility (https://www.alcf.anl.gov) and the Laboratory Computing Resource Center, collaborations with experimental efforts at the Material Science Division (https://www.anl.gov/msd/research) and Argonne (such as the Advanced Photon Source) more broadly, and interactions with universities and other research labs through the Chicago Quantum Exchange.
