About the position
Description of workplace
The Division of Rheumatology conducts its experimental research activities at the Biomedical Centre (BMC) in Lund, in close proximity to Skåne University Hospital. The Division is part of the Department of Clinical Sciences Lund (IKVL), one of six departments within the Faculty of Medicine.
At the Division of Rheumatology, Professor Anders Bengtsson leads the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) research group. The group also includes three clinically active rheumatologists with PhDs, two doctoral students who combine their doctoral studies with clinical work, and one full-time doctoral student. A nurse and a biostatistician are also affiliated with the group.
The research projects focus on the autoimmune disease SLE, combining clinical characterization of the disease with experimental studies of its underlying disease mechanisms. The Division also includes research groups focusing on arthritis and vasculitis.
Within the research group, we are committed to maintaining a positive working environment characterized by respect and consideration in our interactions with one another. We strive to provide a workplace that is stimulating and offers opportunities for professional development for all employees. We continuously work to create an environment that promotes job satisfaction, development and participation. We are committed to both physical safety and a healthy psychosocial work environment.
