ne Arts Department at Bilkent University invites applications for full-time research-oriented faculty positions at all academic ranks (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) to start in January 2027 or September 2027.
Department of Fine Arts is a multidisciplinary department offering undergraduate education in painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, and printmaking. The department combines theoretical and practical learning, integrating traditional methods with contemporary practices that shape today’s art world. Applicants with a Phd degree or Proficiency in Arts in painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, contemporary art, history of art and digital art who also follow a strong research agenda are invited to apply.
Applicants are expected to have received their Phd. degree at the time of the application process.
The Department of Fine Arts emphasizes both high-quality artistic practice and research.
Preferred Qualifications for the full-time position:
Experience in the classroom and/or mentoring and supporting the development of early career artists,
Curatorial experience,
Experience with emerging and industry-standard technology,
Ability to teach related theoretical and practical design skills to Bilkent University students at the undergraduate and graduate.
