Background of the recruitment and description of the project Our university promotes transdisciplinary research integrating humanities, sciences, and medicine within the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation. Field of Specialization: Tourism Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Geography Work content and job description Education and research in the above-mentioned field of specialization (1) Class duties: Undergraduate specialized education (College of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation)， Graduate specialized education (Division of Convergence Science, Graduate School of Frontier Science Initiative): Our university provides transdisciplinary education integrating humanities, sciences, and medicine and convergent knowledge within the College of Transdisciplinary Sciences for Innovation and Division of Convergence Science, Graduate School of Frontier Science Initiative, and the appointee will be responsible for courses related to their field of research. For example, courses related to the above field of expertise, such as “Tourism Policy,” “Tourism Law and System,” “Information Policy,” or “Regional Tourism Policy,” as well as other courses required by the college and division. The specific courses to be assigned will be decided in consultation with the appointee, taking into consideration their preferences, background, and the University’s teaching needs. Notes: Some of the courses listed above may need to be taught in English. (2) Non-class duties: Student guidance, research supervision, students’ recruitment, admissions, study abroad programs, career guidance, social contribution, etc. (3) Other duties deemed necessary by the head of the affiliated organization. Common to all Job Types Annual Salary : 4 million yen ~ 10 million yen Description Applicants must meet all of the following requirements (1) The applicant must have a doctoral degree (including those who are expected to have a doctoral degree by the time of employment) or have educational and research capabilities equivalent to a doctoral degree. (2) The applicant must have outstanding research achievements both domestically and internationally in their respective field and be capable of engaging in education and research activities related to the specified field after joining the position. Additionally, they should demonstrate the ability to collaborate with faculty members for transdisciplinary education and research. (3) Nationality is not restricted. It is desirable that applicant possesses the ability to teach and supervise students in both English and Japanese, and to carry out university service (administrative duties) in Japanese. (4) The applicant must be able to live in Kanazawa or the surrounding area after being appointed.
