Work content and job description
〔Research Area〕
Architectural History and Architectural Design with emphasis on concept making and design method of architectural and urban design, based on comprehensive insights derived from the historical context—encompassing architectural history, urban history, and the history of regional development—and the cultural and technological background, for cold snowy region in Japan as well as in other countries
〔Responsibilities〕
(Immediately after employment)
Education duties as a member of Faculty, Graduate Program, and Undergraduate Program including General University Programs.
Service duties as a member of committees that manage functions of the University, Faculty, Graduate Program, and/or Undergraduate Program .
(Scope of change)
Duties as determined by the University
〔Scope of Work〕
(1) Teaching
Graduate courses offered by the Division of Architectural and Structural Design in both Japanese and English. Undergraduate courses offered by the Course of Architecture, Department of Socio-Environment Engineering such as History of Architecture, History of Modern Architecture, Introductory Exercise on Planning and Design, Exercise in Planning and Design I, II, III and Urban Planning and Design Practice.
(2) Advising Duties
Service as academic advisor for undergraduate and graduate students
(3) Other Duties
Duties (primarily in Japanese) as Faculty/Course committee member, etc.
Work experience
Substantial record in the research area specified above in addition to enthusiasm toward teaching and advising students
Ability to perform research, education, and administration duties in both Japanese and English
Desirable to have past excellent architectural design or spatial design performance as well as research performance
