Background of the recruitment and description of the project Basic, fundamental and applied research on materials and substances with a view to their application as materials. In particular, priority will be given to research into (1) Hydrogen-related materials, (2) Battery materials, (3) Quantum materials, (4) Semiconducting materials, (5) Magnetic materials, (6) Metal and structure materials, (7) Inorganic nanomaterials, (8) Macromolecules and biomaterials, (9) Data-driven materials development, and (10) Advanced materials analysis technology. *Research environment support of up to 10 million yen is available, depending on the research proposal at the time of appointment. Possess a Ph.D. degree or be expected to obtain a Ph.D. by the start date of employment. 2. Be fluent in English for written and oral communication.
