The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Kyoto Institute of Technology is seeking to appoint one associate professor specializing in economics who can analyze human economic activity from a broad, global perspective and gain insight into current trends in the international community.

Work content and job description
Work in:

• Research: Advancing specialized research in the field of economics
• University administration and Community Engagement:

Participation in various university and departmental committees; administrative and management duties
Duties related to student admissions (entrance examinations)
Subjects to be taught:
Lectures (including seminars) in the undergraduate program (program-wide Subjects) on topics such as “Economics,” “Introductory Economics,” and “Society and the Economy”
Responsible for lectures on specialized graduate-level courses, as well as research supervision and thesis advising

Work experience

• High proficiency in Japanese, sufficient for fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
• The applicant should have a distinguished record of achievement in research and teaching in the applicant's field, and should have a strong commitment to both research and teaching.

Measures for preventing passive smoking at the workplace
Smoking is prohibited on campus (excluding one designated outdoor smoking area).
