Recruitment of Lecturer or Associate Professor in Design and Production Engineering Group, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of GIGAKU

We are seeking candidates who can advance research on “manufacturing”—from design to production—in fields related to design and production engineering, with a foundation in mechanical design. Specifically, we are looking for candidates in fields that bridge design and manufacturing technologies, such as machine tool and industrial machinery design, precision and microfabrication technologies, and plastic forming.

Work content and job description
(Immediately after hiring)
・Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of Mechanical Design, Mechanics of Materials, Plasticity and Mechanics of Machinery including lectures, experiments and seminars
・Promoting research related to the above fields of specialization, and providing education and research guidance to undergraduate and graduate students
(Scope of change) Duties as determined by the University.

Description
Applicants must have a doctoral degree and be passionate about education and research in the above-mentioned fields. Those who are willing to actively promote industry-academia collaboration, technical college collaboration, international exchange, long-term internships (dispatching and supervising students to domestic and overseas institutions), and education and research guidance for international students. Those who are willing to take on the challenge of interdisciplinary research with social impact.
