About the job: The purpose of this role is to conduct research into the design and implementation of practical, robust and physically secure post-quantum cryptographic architectures at the Centre for Secure Information Technology (CSIT), at Queen’s University Belfast. This research is part of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme. About the person: The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria: - Hold a 2:1 Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related discipline. - Have or be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant subject. - Have recent relevant research experience in either embedded systems design or FPGA or ASIC hardware design, along with demonstrable expertise in post-quantum cryptography. This is not an exhaustive list. This post is available for 15 months or until 31 December 2027, whichever is soonest. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding. £42,972 per annum
