About the position
Background of the recruitment and description of the project Realizing the practical implementation of quantum computers based on superconducting circuits or semiconductor spin qubits requires further performance improvements in cryogenic (cryo) electronics for controlling large-scale qubit arrays. At DeviceLab Inc., building on our broadband noise measurement technology for semiconductor devices at cryogenic temperatures, we aim to propose a "Noise-Aware" CMOS IC Design for cryo-electronics. To further advance our research and development under the NEDO project described below, we are recruiting a research scientist or a postdoctoral researcher: "Post-5G Information and Communications System Infrastructure Enhancement R&D Project / Research and Development of Cryo-Electronics Technology for Quantum Computers" The successful candidate will play a key role in technology development, including analog circuit design for CMOS ICs using advanced process nodes, high-frequency (RF) noise measurement, and device modeling. Work content and job description Responsibilities The successful candidate will be engaged in multiple tasks from the following: – Precise electrical characterization of high-frequency analog devices and circuits – Setup and development of measurement environments for cryogenic conditions – Technical leadership, hands-on work, and review of RF circuit design (LNA, VCO, Mixer) – Circuit simulation using SPICE and Spectre – Device modeling using tools such as IC-CAP Common to all Job Types Annual Salary : 6 million yen ~ 9 million yen Work experience We welcome applications from candidates with experience and skills in the following areas: – Precision electrical characterization of high-frequency analog devices and circuits – Development of electrical and noise measurement environments under cryogenic conditions – Practical RF circuit design and design review experience – Circuit simulation using SPICE, Spectre, or similar tools – IC design and layout – Device modeling using tools such as IC-CAP – Programming skills in C#, MATLAB, Igor, or Python Common to all Job Types Nontenured - Non-tenure track Selection After document screening, we will contact candidates selected for an interview. Notification of result Candidates will be notified of the outcome promptly following the interview.
