Position Summary
Under close supervision of Principal Investigator, conducts a
variety of routine experiments following established procedures and
protocols, which may include performing assays, tissue culture,
electrophoresis, PCR, DNA extraction, microscopy, animal work and
other laboratory techniques.
- The technician will also record test results
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and monitor animal
colonies.
- The candidate will provide technical assistance to
postdocs/graduate students and other research staff within the
group.
- The candidate will assist in the execution of small animal
(mouse) handling and surgeries and participate in executing
experiments involving cellular and molecular biology assays.
- He/She will be involved in the management and care of the
animal colony.
- Other duties involve the maintenance of lab equipment,
preparing stock solutions and placing various orders based on lab
needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree and at least one year of experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science preferred
Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and procedures
Physical Demands
Salary Range
$37,000 - $40,000
