SEARCH FOR DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES AND ECONOMICS Koç University – Istanbul, Türkiye

Koç University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences and Economics (CASE). The university seeks a visionary, internationally recognized academic leader with a distinguished record of research, administrative excellence, and strategic innovation to guide the College into its next era of academic preeminence and global impact.

The Dean will serve as CASE's chief academic and administrative officer and oversee its close strategic alignment with the Koç University Graduate School of Business (GSB). Together, CASE and GSB stand as the first and only institution in Türkiye to hold the rare "Triple Crown" accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS)—placing it among fewer than 1% of business schools worldwide—alongside the Business School Impact System (BSIS) designation, earning global recognition for research excellence, top-tier career outcomes, and premier executive programs. The Dean will provide thoughtful, decisive, and inclusive leadership to foster a culture of trust, excellence, and shared purpose across a thriving academic community while strengthening engagement with broader university and external partners. As a member of university executive leadership, the Dean contributes to institutional governance and strategy.

The Dean will define the College’s future academic and research trajectory through strategic recruitment, retention, and professional development of world-class scholars aligned with the University’s strategic plan. As the executive champion of Koç University's premier undergraduate legacy, the Dean will steward the College’s position as the nation's undisputed top-choice destination for high-achieving undergraduate and graduate students—advancing rigorous, student-centered education through forward-looking core and interdisciplinary curricula. Key responsibilities include cultivating an environment that empowers early-career and senior faculty through active coaching, mentorship, grant acquisition, and promotion support; advancing the institution's elite international credentials; championing cutting-edge interdisciplinary research collaborations across the university; and further elevating the global standing and prestige of CASE and GSB by expanding strategic corporate partnerships, enhancing internationalization, and driving world-class executive education, including its globally benchmarked, Financial Times-ranked Executive MBA program.

The College of Administrative Sciences and Economics is a premier center for business, economics, and social science education in the region. The College encompasses the departments of Business Administration, Economics, and International Relations, working in seamless synergy with the Graduate School of Business, Graduate School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Koç University’s specialized research centers, and global alliances such as CEMS.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, or a closely related discipline, with a distinguished record of scholarly achievement, international recognition, and research impact commensurate with appointment at the rank of Full Professor. Demonstrated administrative leadership experience in a research-intensive academic institution or business school is preferred. The candidate should bring an open and transparent leadership style that inspires excellence, supports shared governance, and advances a globally engaged academic community. Due to national regulations, Turkish citizenship is required for the position.
