We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Lecturer in Nursing to join our dynamic academic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a passion for teaching, scholarship, and student success to contribute to the development of the next generation of nursing professionals.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, leading modules and programmes, supporting innovative curriculum development, and contributing to the Faculty's research, scholarship, and enterprise activities. You will be committed to providing an outstanding student experience and advancing excellence in nursing education.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, delivery, and evaluation of nursing programmes while supporting student achievement, professional development, and widening participation. You will take a leadership role within designated areas, which might include module leadership and course leadership responsibilities.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, practice partners, and professional bodies to ensure our programmes remain innovative, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving healthcare landscape.

As a senior lecturer in nursing, you will:

  • Design, deliver and evaluate high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes.
  • Lead modules, cohorts or programmes as required, ensuring an excellent student experience and effective resolution of student issues.
  • Supervise student projects, dissertations and practice learning experiences, providing timely feedback and academic support.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, validation, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide leadership and coordination within programme teams, supporting the delivery of modules and courses to the highest standards.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, participate in peer review activities and contribute to the strategic development of programmes and student recruitment initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and professional services staff to ensure students' academic and pastoral needs are met.
  • Engage in research, scholarship and pedagogic innovation to enhance teaching and professional practice.
  • Develop and disseminate scholarly and research outputs through publications, presentations and professional networks.
  • Establish and develop external partnerships and collaborative opportunities that enhance educational provision, professional engagement and the Faculty's strategic objectives
