Background of the recruitment and description of the project Research rationale: To strengthen research in the relevant fields within the Department of Applied Physics, Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences. Educational rationale: To enhance education in the College of Engineering Sciences, School of Science and Engineering. Work content and job description The successful candidate will conduct research in the research field specified below. The candidate will also be responsible for graduate-level education in the Subprogram in Applied Physics and undergraduate-level education in the College of Engineering Sciences, School of Science and Engineering. Teaching responsibilities will include foundational courses, such as mathematics and physics, as well as specialized courses, including undergraduate thesis research. Research area: One of the following fields: Nanometrology and Mathematical Engineering; Optical and Quantum Measurement; Biomedical Engineering; Quantum Beams and Plasma; Advanced Electronics; Nanostructured Functional Materials; Power Electronics and Wide-Bandgap Semiconductors; or Spintronics and Magnetics. Measures for preventing passive smoking at the workplace Smoking is prohibited throughout the University campus in order to prevent passive smoking. Selection After an initial screening of the submitted documents, selected candidates will be invited for an interview. Please note that travel expenses for the interview will not be reimbursed.
