【About GSIM at IUJ】
Established on March 23, 1988 with full approval and accreditation from the Ministry of Education of Japan, GSIM was the first U.S.-style business school in Japan. It was founded with the support of approximately 1,000 Japanese companies, including Matsushita, Komatsu, IBM-Japan, Sony, and Toyota.
IUJ offers only graduate-level programs, with all instruction conducted in English. GSIM has played a pivotal role in bridging management thinking between international and Japanese business communities, helping international students access Japanese job markets and supporting Japanese companies in expanding globally.

The position is open to all ranks (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor), with an appointment starting in September 2027.

Compensation and Teaching Load

• Compensation is commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
• Minimum salary levels:
• Assistant Professor: 7 million JPY
• Associate Professor: 8 million JPY
• Full Professor: 9 million JPY
• Adjustments may be made based on qualifications and achievements.
• Additional payments are available for teaching beyond the minimum requirements or in executive education programs (often amounting to approximately 1 million JPY annually).
• Teaching load: 96 hours per academic year, all at the MBA level in English. Each course runs for eight weeks.
• GSIM provides research funding and subscribes to major databases including ScienceDirect, EBSCO, ProQuest, Capital IQ, LSEG Database, and Eikon with Datastream.
