Position Description

The Department of Particle Physics at Tel Aviv University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in theoretical high-energy physics. The search is focused on quantum field theory and string theory.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and demonstrate an outstanding record of research achievement. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, internationally recognized research program that complements and strengthens the department’s existing activities, and to contribute to the mentoring of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Appointment at a senior rank may be considered for candidates with appropriate experience and distinction.

The theory group includes Yakir Aharonov, Michael Geller, Nissan Itzhaki, Marek Karliner, Evgeny Levin, Shmuel Nussinov, Yaron Oz, Benni Reznik, Amit Sever, Oren Slone, Cobi Sonnenschein, Benjamin Svetitsky, Lev Vaidman, Tomer Volansky, Shimon Yankielowicz, and Erez Zohar.
